Minister Bonita Kates
Born in New Jersey to Henry and Vivian, Bonita is the youngest of 4 children. She moved to Florida, then returned to New Jersey, where she met and married Charles Tyler. She was blessed with the birth of a beautiful healthy baby girl, Ursula. In 2015 Ursula met and married Jason Hardin, and God granted them the BEST (better description) gift, Chayil, born on September 16, 2017. It is the delight of Bonitas’ day to hear Chayil call her, BiBi, which means grandmother in Swahili.
Bonita works in the capacity of Student Support at Montclair State University where she advises students on course choices and general academic direction. Sometimes, it requires hugs and parental guideness to assistance their academic direction. It warms her heart that God positioned her in a purposeful career.
Bonita is currently working on her Master’s in Public Health degree at Montclair State University with a prospected graduation of May 2021, and a focus on the injustice of the mass incarceration of people of color. Bonita also earned her Bachelors degree in Communication at MSU.
Minister Bonita is a proud member of the Cross and Crown Christian Church where she is enriched, enhanced and empowered by Reverends John and Lula Baker. Cross and Crown Christian Church seeks to cultivate care, concern, and commitment to it its membership and surrounding community, through empowerment, education, and enrichment. To develop and nurture the whole man, mind body and spirit. We seek to prepare and equip its constituents with the necessary tools to lead fruitful productive lives, while sensitizing them to the responsibility to evangelize and disciple others. We dedicate ourselves to the task of fostering future generations of leadership in this millennium and beyond.
Minister Bonita is a part of our ArdyssLife Family and The Master’s Call Family where she coined the phrase ‘TMC is our ‘telecommunication sanctuary”.
